Situācija – Accenture Latvija, tāpat kā visā IT jomā, trūkst programmētāju. Viens no iespējamiem avotiem ‒ cilvēki ar loģisko domāšanu un matemātikas zināšanām, kam matemātika bijusi tuva skolā/augstskolā, bet šīs prasmes atstātas novārtā.
Uzdevums – uzrunāt visus, kas saprot matemātiku, taču nav apsvēruši darbu IT.
Risinājums – MATHSCAPE izlaušanās spēle ar matemātikas un loģikas uzdevumiem. Tā kalpo kā atlases reklāma, datu vācējs, pirmais filtrs. Un balva! 2000 € (vilinoša mēnešalga). Spēle veidota, kombinējot no dalībnieka skatupunkta filmēto ar stāstā integrētiem saistošiem uzdevumiem. Scenārijs ir pieredzes stāsts, kas ļauj iejusties rutīnā ar grūtām pirmdienām un algām, kas beidzas par ātru, pretstatā iekārdinot ar vilinošu karjeru.
Rezultāti – Lai gan kampaņa ir tikai pusceļā, šobrīdējie rezultāti – 32 tūkstoši cilvēku apmeklējuši MATHSCAPE spēli, 2 tūkstoši tikuši pāri trešajam uzdevumam un veseli 485 veiksmīgi atrisinājuši visus uzdevumus.
Situation – Accenture Latvia as all IT industry, has a lack of programmers. One of the sources - people with math minds and logical thinking who have been good at math in school/university but have left those skills aside.
Task – reach out to anyone who understands math but hasn’t considered working in IT.
Solution – MATHSCAPE escape game with math and logic challenges that served as a recruiting ad; data collector; first filter. And the prize! €2000 (tempting salary)! The game was created combining trending footage from one’s perspective with story-integrated engaging tasks. The scenario is an experience story where the user has a routine with hard Mondays and paychecks ending too fast, as opposed to a tempting new career.
Results – Although campaign is in its midway, 32 thousand people have visited MATHSCAPE game, 2 thousand have managed to get through third task and 485 poeple have actually finished all the tasks.
