Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas Izstāžu centrs ir lielākais dizaina kolektīvs valsts pārvaldē. Plakāti ir viens no komunikācijas veidiem, ko lieto, lai popularizētu bibliotēkas kultūras norises.
Plakātu tirāža ir 1-5 eksemplāri un to digitālās versijas tiek publicētas bibliotēkas sociālajos medijos.
Plakātu dizaini atspoguļo bibliotēkas krājuma un norišu daudzveidību – no seniem manuskriptiem līdz mūsdienu tehnologijām.
Materiāli no bibliotēkas kolekcijām tiek izmantoti kā dizaina elementi, kurus papildina ilustrācijas un datorgrafika. Pasākumiem beidzoties, plakāti tiek pievienoti LNB plakātu kolekcijai, kuru veido vairāk kā 7000 vienību.
The Exhibition department at the National Library of Latvia is the largest design studio within public sector. Every day, the National Library of Latvia hosts a number of events and many of these are advertised with the help of posters. The posters are produced and printed on site, usually in one to five copies, their digital versions are published on the library’s website and on social networks.
The posters’ designs reveal the diversity of the library’s collection and events – from ancient manuscripts to science and modern technology.
The collection itself is also used as a design element, complemented by digital graphics and illustrations. Having served their purpose, the posters pass into the library’s large poster collection of more than 7 000 items.
