Blakus durvīm mēs redzam mājīgu dzīvojamo istabu – tā ir piepildīta ar interjera elementiem no “Rīga Plaza” veikaliem. Un, visbeidzot, manekeni izrāda ziemas modi, kuras elementus arī var iegādāties iepirkšanās centrā. Shopping malls are like seasons - stores periodically close and others open up in their place. But what to do about the empty space that lingers in between? Rather than use the typical Coming Soon sign, we decided to hide the empty space with a functional design. Our Winter Street storefront has 4 elements. A 3-D light beam is perfect for customers’ Instagram photos. A drawn door seemingly leads to an imaginary apartment, but it also functions as a real door for construction workers. Next to the door, we see inside a cosy living room. It is filled with interior design elements from Riga Plaza stores. And finally - winter fashion exhibits clothing that can be bought in the shopping mall as well. Good design can not only hide an empty space, but make it an enjoyable shopping experience.
